House Extensions Kent...

Buying a new build can be a great way to get yourself on the property ladder, however, for some families, they realise that they are going to end up not having enough space for their entire family to live in. Either that or they decide that they are not quite sure about the layout of the property and want to make a few changes.

This particular client in Kent wanted to change a few things about their new-build, making sure that it was able to meet all their needs. Their original set up was a separate kitchen and lounge area, however they felt that this was too enclosed and that they wanted to open it up and give the entire downstairs of their property a real sense of space.

In order to do this we opened up the entire downstairs of the property, opening it up from the front to the back. They also wanted to create an area of the house that could be a dining room. In order to do this we added a modest extension at the rear of the property which was then transformed into a dining room.

Knowing that the client wanted to make sure that the house felt as open as possible, the extension had the addition of bi-folding doors as well as a lantern roof to maximise the amount of natural light that came into the space.

The client also wanted to have a utility room, allowing them to have a designated space to keep some of their key appliances. This room was created by converting some of the garage space that they already had.

We loved seeing how happy the client was with the end result and whilst it may not have had as many required changes as some properties that we have worked on; it still was a fantastic way to ensure that this new build property was everything that the owner needed it to be. Both in function and in style.
